Facilities Tech Lead- A Shift

Objective of job:

Lead the facility team to maintain, repair facilities machinery and/or equipment, maintain buildings, technical systems, CMMS system, and install utilities and equipment. 

Principle activities:

• Plan the work processes, material procurement and setup activities, and check documentation for completeness.
• Coordinate associates (i.e.. personnel scheduling, etc.) and equipment scheduling.
• Install complex equipment and check (i.e. mechanically, electrically, etc.) for correct function; adjust and/or rework as required.
• Determine part requirements, provide parts and request part procurement.
• Determine causes of defects/shutdowns in sometimes complex equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc. components; use diagnostic systems as required.
• Conduct difficult maintenance and repair tasks on complex technical equipment (ie. fixtures, machinery, instruments, etc.)
• Conduct the installation and relocation of complex technical equipment (ie. tools, machinery, instruments, etc.)
• Recognize and eliminate weak areas; cooperate in developing suggestions for eliminating weak areas.
• Eliminate breakdowns in facility equipment.
• Follow up and coordinate activities for efficient energy usage, lighting system, predictive maintenance, and lightning/grounding systems.
• Participate in the development of work instructions and procedures for facility maintenance activities.
• To develop and deliver on-time field reports to supervisor.
• Effectively communicate with the supervisor any problems with safety, equipment, and/or productivity.
• Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 to 8 yeatrs of related work experience
• 3 to 5 years of CMMS Systems
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical install per NEC Codes
• Industrial plumbing, air compressor preventive maintenance, and Microsoft Office experience is a plus
