Change Management Engineer

Objective of job:

• This position is responsible for co-coordination plant functional teams in the execution of ECR's (engineering change requests) with either internal or external customers or suppliers. 

Principal activities:

• Analyzes and distributes ECRS (Engineering Change Requests) in Status “request” to the Plant Functions for evaluation. Summarize and report Plant Functional Team analysis to Corporate Change Management for weekly review.
• Ensure Plant Function affected by engineering Change (Engineering, Quality, Plant Logistics, Supply Chain Management, other Interior production plants) upload evaluation data and requirements into Teamcenter (PLM Software).
• Serves as plant representative for Corporate Engineering Change Management. 
• Organize and lead Weekly Plant Change Management Meetings.
• Follow up with plant list of open points required by functions to complete required changes and escalate to management team if required to maintain and execute in a timely and cost efficient manner.
• Creating and co-coordinating plan timelines for Program Management for ECR’s in Order Status considering all the Plant functions responsible and their tasks for the implementation, including but not limited to: 1) Bank builds, 2) Modifications and Validation of tooling, equipment, fixtures, layouts, work instructions, data sheets, control plans, process flow, 3) Coordinate trials in support of ECR, 4) Gather breakpoint calculations internally and for customer, 5) Internal Systems set up for ECR implementation, 6) Monitor material inventories and engineering levels, 7) Support Program Management to obtain samples for approval, 8) Coordination and follow up on Plant timeline activities from the date the ECR is set to ORDER status through implementation.
• Maintain Plant Chain Management KPI documentation.
• Attend meetings with project teams, Change Management to represent personnel.
• Follow up on all open points with dates committed during meetings by Plant functional team members.
• Other duties as assigned by Management to ensure optimal plant performance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive of Manufacturing is a plus.
• 1 to 2 years experience with knowledge of JIT principles, familiar with TS16949, and VDA Quality System requirements.
• 3 to 5 years experience with Change Management.
