Apprentice - Youth - Machine Tool (57130)

Objective of job:

• Work and study in coordination with the Draexlmaier Apprenticeship Program and the Machine Tool Program. 

Principal activities:

• Work and study in a classroom, lab, as well as on the production floor as required by trainer/manager
• Maintain good housekeeping using the 6S Principle
• Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment
• Understand, observe, and follow all EHS safety requirements
• Understand, observe, and follow all Draexlmaier Apprenticeship Program requirements.
• Operate machining equipment such as band saw, drill press, millwright, grinders, CNC, and lathe
• Analyze blueprints dimensions to make correct parts using drill throughs, countersink, and counterbore bits
• Use instrumentation equipment such as meters, gauges, and other testing methods on parts and machines.
• Complete tasks and projects assigned by trainer/manager in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a High School Trade school within the Machine Tool Program.
