Transport assistant

Objective :

1. Key point of contact for all transport related topics within DEM Draeximaier (e.g. Raw material Imports or deliveries to the customers)
2. Assisting VIB - PL4 and VIB - PAS with planning of transport routes from suppliers, from other Draexlmaier plants and to the customers with focus on DRX-standards, cost, quality and time.
3. Implementation of improvements with focus on cost and time considering the rules of DRX standards together with VIB-PL4.

Principle activities
 Coordination of all incoming and outgoing transports.
 Communication with different forwarding and transport companies.
 Planning the capacity and number of transports.
 Ordering of local transports and customer deliveries.
 Ordering of export shipments to overseas.
 Observe adherence to FIFO system for container arrivals at DEM plants.
 Monitoring of transports considering punctual deliveries to the production or customer.
 Ensure container returning to depots on time (without any detention charges).
 Creating detailed transport schedules.
 Collection of all transport related data.
 Monitoring and recording of transport damages.
 Coordination of special transports in case of any emergency - considering time and cost.
 Work close together with logistics and customs department to avoid negative effects on any transport related matter.
 Cooperate with Kulim plant to organize their Seafreight and airfreight transports according to their requirements.
 Proactive work on improvements in collaboration with VIB-PL411.
 Training of new employees.
 Attend regular meetings with DEM forwarders & transporters to improve their service.
 Regular review all transport related charges in cooperation with purchasing and finance.
