Electrical / Special Systems Designer

Your Role:

As an Electrical / Special Systems Designer with a focus on Revit, you will play a key role in ensuring excellence in electrical and special systems design, planning, and execution across diverse industrial and commercial projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Design and Planning:

• Develop electrical and special systems designs using Revit, including power distribution, lighting, and medium/low-voltage systems.
• Special systems designer with fire alarm systems, CCTV systems, IT data services, BMS systems, etc.
• Create and review detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Prepare technical submittals, data sheets, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
• Support the development of electrical standards and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes.
• Utilize electrical design concepts to produce full sets of construction documents for industrial and commercial building projects.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams throughout all project phases (e.g., conceptual design, execution, commissioning).
• Ensure designs comply with local and international electrical standards and codes (e.g., NEC, NOM, IEC).

Client Interface:

• Support client communication during project development and execution phases.
• Provide technical input for sales and proposal processes.

What We’re Looking For:

Must have one or more of the following:

• 4 years of college education in the electrical field or related.
• 2 years of work experience in the electrical field or electrical design industry.

Preferred:

• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year applicable work experience and demonstrated skill with Revit and/or AutoCAD.

Additional Requirements:

• Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power supply, lighting, and high/low-voltage installations.
• Familiarity with local and international standards (e.g., NEC, NOM, IEC).
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• This position may require minimal travel.
